Names Outlive Time

The Story

Egypt knew two deaths.

The first takes the body. Every Egyptian expected it, prepared for it, built for it. The second was the one they feared: the day your name is spoken for the last time. When the name goes, the soul goes with it — erased not from the world, but from existence.

So they carved. Kings sealed their names in cartouches of stone. Enemies were punished not with the sword but with chisels — names hacked from monuments, faces struck from walls. To destroy the name was to destroy the person, forever, in every world at once.

The cartouche on this piece stands in that tradition — a name-ring carved to outlast the hand that wears it. Beneath it, one line, in no hurry to be noticed. It does not persuade. It states.

Names outlive time. Or nothing does.

Worth every rupee, the print quality is sharper than anything I've bought online.
