Beneath the deepest root, something is chewing. It was there before the gods. It will be there after. Níðhöggr — the Malice Striker, gnawer at the roots of the World Tree — carved on black. The tree stands anyway.

At the bottom of everything, there is a dragon.
Beneath the nine worlds — beneath the halls, the wars, the oaths — the deepest root of the World Tree reaches into the frozen dark. There Níðhöggr lies coiled, gnawing. Not storming the gates. Not challenging the gods. Working at the foundation, patiently, since before the world was made.
The poems name him Malice Striker. They feed him the corpses of oath-breakers and give him a place at the root where no light reaches. And in the last stanza of the great prophecy — after the gods have died, after the world has drowned and risen green — he is still there, flying up from the dark with the dead in his wings.
Ragnarök ends everything except him.
The root-gnawer carved on black — for those who know that what endures beneath is stronger than what shines above.

Machine wash cold, inside out, with similar colours. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Iron on reverse if needed. The fabric softens with each wash but holds its form.
