HE CARRIES THE STORM.
Odin took the kings. Thor took everyone else: the farmer, the sailor, the family that needed the roof to hold. The back carries a bowed, scarred warrior with a gold-handled hammer resting on his shoulder. The chest holds one cracked standing stone with a single red rune.
The Story
In the old poems Thor and Odin trade insults across a river, and the line that matters is this: Odin has the nobles who fall in battle, and Thor has the common people. He was the god of everyone else, and the most loved of all the gods.
He was the son of Odin and of Earth itself, red-bearded, enormous and short-tempered, riding a chariot drawn by two goats. His hammer Mjölnir was forged by dwarves, never missed, always returned to his hand, and could bless a marriage as easily as it broke a giant’s skull. Vikings wore its likeness at the throat.
He fished for the Midgard Serpent. He dressed as a bride to get his hammer back. He lost three contests to giants who turned out to be tricks of the sea, the serpent and old age. And at the end of the world he kills Jörmungandr, takes nine steps, and falls from its venom.
The back print is the god between two fights: a broad-shouldered warrior in white and grey ink, head bowed, a scar down his forehead, a dark red beard, a studded strap across his shoulder and the hammer resting on it, handle wrapped in gold, against a torn field of old gold. The chest carries a cracked standing stone with a single dark red rune cut into it.
When the storm comes, someone is already out in it.

Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with similar colours. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Iron on reverse if needed. The fabric softens with each wash but holds its form.
