Norse Mythology T-Shirts in India: Every Design in the Norse Saga Collection

Every Norse mythology t-shirt and pendant in the Neolithic Norse Saga collection, with the myth behind each design. Oversized cotton, shipped from India.

The Norse did not tell their myths to comfort anyone. The gods know the date of their own deaths. A wolf waits to swallow the chief of them. A dragon gnaws at the root of the tree that holds the world up, and three sisters decide how long every life will run.

The Norse Saga collection at Neolithic Store turns eight of those stories into oversized tees, and two symbols into bronze. This is every piece in it, and the myth behind each one.

The tees

The Norns, “The Length Was Never Yours.”, ₹2,689

Three sisters sit at a well beneath the roots of Yggdrasil. Urd holds what has already happened. Verdandi holds what is happening now. Skuld holds what is owed and not yet paid. What they spin, measure and cut becomes the shape of every life in the nine worlds, gods included, and no cut has ever been recorded as undone. The chest carries the moon already rooted. The back carries the three themselves.

Hel, “One Face. Two Fates.”, ₹2,249

Hel is Loki’s daughter, and nothing about her resolves into one thing. One side of her face keeps the colour of the living. The other side does not. She waits at the bottom of the nine worlds, in a hall for those who died the wrong way, not in battle and not remembered, and she keeps them, the way a ledger keeps a debt. The threshold mark rests over the heart. The back holds a queen who was always two people.

Loki, “The Face That Isn’t”, ₹2,099

Loki was a man, a mare, a salmon, a fly in a forge. He had no true form, only the shape the moment required. So the design catches him mid-change: half human face, half serpent scale, the two fighting for the same skull. Above him the venom falls, the sentence waiting at the end of all his cleverness. Below, hands rise toward a bowl. Bone, shadow and venom-green on black.

Huginn and Muninn, “One Sees. One Remembers.”, ₹2,299

Every morning two ravens leave Odin’s shoulders and cross the nine worlds. Huginn is Thought. Muninn is Memory. By nightfall they return and tell him everything they saw. Odin confessed one fear: not war, not the end, but that the ravens might not come back. The chest carries the pair in ember, one head turned forward, one turned back. The back carries a single vast eye.

Fenrir, “The Unchained Wolf”, ₹2,099

The gods raised the wolf, watched him grow, and grew afraid. Two chains broke like dry wood. The dwarves then made Gleipnir, a ribbon woven from things that do not exist, and Fenrir would accept it only if a god placed a hand in his jaws. Only Týr stepped forward. The ribbon held, and the wolf bit down. The chest carries the mark of the god who paid. The back shows the wolf tearing loose.

Níðhöggr, ₹2,099

At the bottom of everything there is a dragon. Níðhöggr, the Malice Striker, lies coiled beneath the deepest root of the World Tree, gnawing. He does not storm the gates or challenge the gods. He works at the foundation, patiently, and in the last stanza of the great prophecy he is still there, after everything else has ended. Carved on black. The tree stands anyway.

Ragnarok Warrior, ₹2,099

Ragnarök is the scheduled death of everything, and the gods know the date. Odin knows the wolf takes him. The warriors of Valhalla drill every dawn for a war they have been told they lose. They arm themselves anyway. The North had a word for that colder thing: doom accepted, sword still raised. A lone warrior on black, small beneath the wolf that ends the age, a longship burning on the chest. Strength is not given. It is forged.

The Unblown Horn, ₹2,299

Heimdallr hears grass grow in distant fields, and he holds one duty: when the end comes, blow the horn. The design is the moment before. On the back Bifröst is torn open in oxblood, and Gjallarhorn curves up out of it, silent, runes waiting for breath that has not come. The chest carries an oxblood triangle, three strokes locked into one. The axis, still holding.

The pendants

The pendants are cast in solid bronze and finished by hand with an antique patina. Bronze deepens with time and with the warmth of the body that wears it, so no two pieces age the same way.

Mjölnir, The Hammer of Thor Pendant, ₹8,199

It was forged with a handle too short, and became the most feared thing in the nine realms. Mjölnir levels mountains and hallows the bonds between the living. The knotwork across its face has no beginning and no end. Approx. 40mm, 34g.

Helm of Awe, The Aegishjalmur Pendant, ₹6,999

Eight arms reaching from one centre. The old warriors carved this stave where it could not be missed, to turn an enemy’s courage to water and hold the bearer unbroken. Approx. 36mm, 26g.

Fabric, fit and care

Every Norse Saga tee is cut oversized, in 100% bio-washed cotton, with a crew neck and short sleeves, in sizes S to 4XL. Machine wash at 30°C. Weights differ by design. 220 GSM: The Norns, Loki, Huginn and Muninn, Níðhöggr, Ragnarok Warrior and The Unblown Horn; 240 GSM: Hel and Fenrir. Cotton at 190 GSM or lower works better for overlock knit and a good yarn count: the seams sit flatter and the fabric feels finer.
